Robert Chender is a senior meditation teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition and is a student of the late Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
He is a trainer for the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, delivering the mindfulness program developed at Google, and also works with business and professional groups and individuals in applying mindfulness and emotional intelligence practices to workplace efficiency, corporate culture and morale.
He teaches at the Shambhala Meditation Center of New York, where he was formerly chair of the board, at The Interdependence Project, and at the Westchester (NY) Buddhist Center. Robert is of counsel at Seward & Kissel in New York, where he leads the weekly mindfulness group, and is the founder and director of the New York City Bar Association Contemplative Lawyers Group. He also teaches CLE programs on the applicability of mindfulness to law practice. Robert is a graduate of Vassar College and the NYU School of Law.
